Cloud computing is the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage and process data, rather than a local server or personal computer. The "cloud" is a metaphor for the Internet.

​Emails and Facebook are some example of software that operate in the Cloud. The information is accessible anywhere you can access the Internet, functional on any device. Information is not stored on the device your use to access the program but instead on servers owned by the program owners, such as Hotmail.

​Most accounting software companies currently provide desktop and cloud based packages, however, the desktop versions are being phased out.

As the market leader in cloud accounting software, XERO is only offered online, having no desktop version. XERO pulls data from bank feeds, reconciling and categorising transactions in seconds.

The software offers customised invoices, online payment of your invoices for customers. It also has an extensive add-on community so you can add features which are particular to your industry/business.

We have XERO certified staff who can assist with setup, training and ongoing queries with your file. We can log in and prepare your BAS and year end work from your active file.


We recommend BankLink for clients who don't want to use computerised software themselves. You will receive a list of transactions from your bank account and provide details for those transactions. We can memorise regular transactions to employees and suppliers to make it easier. We can also add journals for transactions which do not occur in the bank account such as cash payments.


Reckon have several online options including Reckon Hosted and Reckon One. The online versions are the premium version equivalent of the desktop version offering customised invoicing, payroll with automatic updates, mobile timesheets, bank feed, job and project tracking.


MYOB's cloud offer is called MYOB Account Right Live which has a similar interface to the desktop version. It allows customisation of invoices and reports, has a powerful inventory management system, job costing and tracking, payroll which receives automatic updates.
