The operators of three 'Tokyo Sushi" outlets in NSW have been penalised a total of $383,616 for underpaying workers.
Kiyoshi Hasegawa was imposed a penalty of $63,939 for her role in underpaying workers. In addition, two companies owned by Kiyoshi Hasegawa and her family have been penalised $150,120 & $169,560 respectively.
The penalties were issued for underpaying 31 employees a total of $70,885.
Kiyoshi Hasegawa and her companies will be required to back pay the $70,885 in outstanding wages as well as the $383,616 in penalties.
